Eduardo Romero Tagle

Dual Licensed Attorney

Eduardo Romero Tagle is the founder and managing attorney of TAGLE LAW GROUP PLLC. He is a dual-licensed lawyer with more than fifteen years of experience in litigation, constitutional and regulatory law, international commercial arbitration, and cross-border disputes between the United States and Mexico. His practice reflects a combination of rigorous legal training, high-level institutional experience, and a deep understanding of how both legal systems operate in complex, high-stakes matters.

Eduardo is admitted to practice in Texas, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, and in all federal and state courts in Mexico. His work in the United States focuses on federal appellate advocacy, international arbitration, and serving as an expert witness on issues of Mexican law in U.S. federal and state courts. He has been retained by law firms and multinational companies to provide expert reports, testimony, and strategic analysis in disputes where the interpretation or application of Mexican law is central to the case.

Before founding the firm, Eduardo served as Chief of Staff and law clerk to a Justice of the Mexican Supreme Court, where he drafted close to two hundred judicial opinions involving constitutional interpretation, administrative and regulatory law, criminal procedure, and family law. He also clerked for a specialized Court of Appeals focused on telecommunications and economic competition and worked as an external consultant for several Mexico City law firms, advising their appellate advocacy teams in complex litigation.

In addition to his work as counsel, Eduardo has been appointed as an arbitrator in proceedings administered by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), including disputes valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. He also represents clients in international commercial arbitration matters, with a particular focus on disputes relating to Mexico, bilateral trade, and operations governed by the USMCA framework. His arbitration experience includes advising corporate clients on high-value cross-border contractual conflicts.

Eduardo has also developed an extensive academic and training career. He has served as an adjunct professor in various Mexican law schools and as a guest lecturer in programs directed at federal and state judges, organized by the Mexican Supreme Court, the Council of the Mexican Federal Judiciary, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. In addition to teaching, he has carried out research stays at the University Carlos III of Madrid and at the Federal Judicial Center in Washington, D.C., experiences that have further enriched his comparative perspective and understanding of judicial systems.

Eduardo earned his Master's degree from The University of Texas School of Law and holds a Law Degree with Honors from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico.
